Dr. Wust originally hails from New Orleans, LA. He obtained his undergraduate
degree and medical doctorate from Louisiana State University. His post-doctoral
training took him to the University of Florida in Gainesville where he completed
an Internal Medicine residency at Shands Hospital.
When Dr. Wust joined his Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at the University of
Minnesota, he became very interested in the genetic susceptibility to asthma.
His current research has been endeavoring to find the basic mechanisms of innate
immunity that leads to the development and progression of asthma.
Dr. Wust is married to his medical school sweetheart Purnima, also an Allergy
fellow. She has inspired and encouraged him through all his undertakings. His
accomplishments are due in part to her love and support.
