When Dr. Wust joined his Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota, he became very interested in the genetic susceptibility to asthma. His current research has been endeavoring to find the basic mechanisms of innate immunity that leads to the development and progression of asthma.

Dr. Wust is married to his medical school sweetheart Purnima, also an Allergy fellow. She has inspired and encouraged him through all his undertakings. His accomplishments are due in part to her love and support.
