Policy for International Applicants
In order to be eligible to apply to the University of Minnesota Combined MD/PhD Training Program, international citizens must have a baccalaureate degree from a college or university outside the United States and its territories and hold a Masters Degree from an accredited U.S. School; OR have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. They must have taken the MCAT, have completed required pre-requisite coursework (minimum of ½ the coursework at a U.S. school), and be able to demonstrate proficiency (written and spoken) in the English language. International citizen applicants are responsible for obtaining appropriate visa status for study in the United States. International citizens, for the purpose of this policy, are defined as those who hold neither U.S. citizenship, permanent residence or other immigrant status.
