Prospective Medical Students Events at the U of M Medical School

Each year, hundreds of enthusiastic prospective medical students attend our information sessions, seminars, tours, and other activities designed to showcase the University of Minnesota Medical School experience.

Can’t participate in one of these programs? Watch the head of admissions review medical school admission requirements. Then, find these additional resources we recommend to help you prepare for applying to medical school.

Medical School pre-med information sessions

We host these monthly information sessions year-round. Current medical students share their experiences and Office of Admissions staff discuss a variety of topics, including:

  • Available programs and educational opportunities
  • Selection criteria used by the admissions committee to select applicants for admission to our medical school
  • How to apply to medical school
