Medical Student Resources - University of Minnesota Medical School

So you’ve been accepted to medical school. Now the work really begins!

We know our Medical School’s curriculum is rigorous and demanding. It’s because of our high standards that University of Minnesota Medical School graduates are thoroughly prepared to take on today’s most challenging health issues.

At the same time, we support our medical students -- academically and emotionally. We’ve established student services, resources, events, and other programs to guide you through your medical education. They not only allow you to customize your education by developing individual learning experiences, they make the journey enjoyable and fulfilling.

You’ll kick off your medical education with events like Day 1 – a session focusing on the inter-professional approach to medical education at our Medical School. Toward the end of your 4 years, you’ll celebrate Match Day, when you find out what residency program you’ll be attending.

And along the way, there will be many experiences, including celebrations, service opportunities, seminars, and social events that make life at the University of Minnesota Medical School invigorating every day.
