The University of Minnesota Medical School Program in Mortuary Science is the only mortuary science program in the country that is housed within a medical school. While in the program, our students take combined coursework in basic and behavioral sciences, business, liberal arts, and mortuary science as they earn their Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science.
By skillfully combining these study areas, we prepare our mortuary science graduates for careers as knowledgeable, skilled, and innovative funeral service professionals. Program of Mortuary Science graduates will be prepared to serve bereaved members of their communities in a manner that is proficient, dignified, and caring.
