Salary and Benefits

Educational Allowance of $600 each year!

  • Could be used for: books, journal subscriptions, medical software, DVDs, CDs, travel to scientific/medical meetings, computer equipment for medical use and board examinations.
  • Excellent in-house moonlighting opportunities at the VA and UMMC.

Educational Benefits:

  • 5 days educational leave for CME, conferences and other approved activities
  • ACP membership for residents presenting a poster or vignette
  • Free access to campus libraries
  • Free internet access and e-mail
  • Free med-line searches, MD Consults, and many other on-line databases and journals. This service can be accessed from any computer, including at home via the web.

Financial Benefits:

  • Current PGY-1 annual stipend of $45,744 with increases each year
  • In-state University of Minnesota tuition rates for spouse and immediate family
