Faculty Positions
Faculty Position in Microbiology The Department of Microbiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for a faculty position to be filled at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level in conjunction with the Corridors of Discovery initiative in Infectious Diseases (http://www.ahc.umn.edu/research/corridors/infectiousdisease/index.htm). The successful applicant will be expected to establish a competitive research program in bacterial pathogenesis (broadly defined, to include bacterial physiology, microbiome studies, genetics, genomics, molecular biology and/or the bacterial basis for host-pathogen interactions), and to contribute to departmental teaching. The department and affiliated units at the University have broad research strengths in microbiology and immunology, including immunity and host defense, microbial pathogenesis, virology, microbial physiology, genetics, genomics, environmental microbiology, and biotechnology. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in a relevant field of study, plus applicable postdoctoral or faculty experience.
