RMS Open Work Sessions

Is your RMS to-do list piling up?  Do you need some time to leave other distractions behind and focus on RMS?  This is a time for you to escape your daily distractions and obtain assistance on any RMS related topics(s).  Feel free to stop in at any point during these two hours.  Registration is not required for these sessions but we do appreciate notice of intent to attend and an indication of an area of focus in order to provide appropriate staffing.

Intro to GME Payment & RMS

This training is highly recommended for all new coordinators, program staff, reimbursement staff and GME staff. It is designed to:

  • Give participants a basic understanding of RMS
  • Overview the GME Payment Process
  • Examine activities related to block schedules and assignments

Program Evaluations

The Program Evaluations training will discuss how to:

  • Convert old evaluations into program evaluations
  • Create program evaluations from scratch
  • Manage program evaluations
  • Run program evaluation reports

Portfolio: Semi-Annual Reviews

The Portfolio Reviews feature is a centralized reporting tool used to gather resident performance data from many modules within RMS. This training will cover:

  • Review form setup
  • Scheduling and managing Reviews
  • Viewing Reviews after data capture

Planning for the New Academic Year

Unsure about how to best prepare RMS for the new academic year?  Perhaps you just need a refresher?  This class is a quick one hour review with an additional optional half hour for assistance you may need with your specific program(s).  The initial hour will review the basics, including:

  • Creating academic years in RMS
  • Creating and editing RMS Block Schedules
  • Setting rotation favorites
  • Creating Assignment Definitions
  • Applying/editing/deleting assignments
  • Overview of duty hour analysis reports

Train the Trainer

Not sure how to best train your incoming residents/fellows to use RMS?  We have a great course designed to help you get a better understanding of how to train new residents/fellows on your own!  The primary focus will be on resident duty hour entry and how to prepare the RMS system for training.  A customizable PowerPoint and facilitating guide will be provided to help aid those who deliver resident training.

New Resident/Fellow RMS Training

Would you like MMCGME assistance training your incoming residents/fellows on how to enter duty hours in RMS?  We can attend your resident training sessions and either assist you as you conduct training or we can deliver the training upon your behalf.  All requests are accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
