Resident and Fellow Research

Residents and Fellows in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health are encouraged to develop and pursue research areas of interest and relevance to particular study areas, and must partner with a research mentor.  Funding through Corrigan Grants is available for Residents who are getting started exploring  research interests.  The Fellowship programs both have dedicated blocks of protected research time for further exploration of projects and research interests.

Research Funding

Residents

Leslie Turner, Nancy Woodrow and Frederick Corrigan established the Corrigan Fund in 1999 in honor of their parents, Fritz and Mary Corrigan.  The family has been loyal supporters of the department and resident education.  Residents are encouraged to speak with their research mentors to begin development of project ideas early on in residency.  For more information contact Tammy Pederson.

Fellows

When funds are available, each fellow will be awarded $7,500 towards research activities and travel for the three-year term they are with the Fellowship Program.  More information can be found in the Fellowship Program Manuals, or by contacting Chris Crumm.
