What is Refractive Vision Correction

Doctor with chart

Refractive vision correction refers to a number of procedures that change the way in which light rays are focused onto the back of the eye, allowing images to be seen more clearly. These methods may use various lasers to remove or remold corneal tissue.  Most procedures take minutes to complete and only topical numbing eye drops are used. You are on your way home within 15-30 minutes after the procedure.
