Minnesota Medical Foundation

The Vision Foundation is associated with the Minnesota Medical Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Minnesota Medical Foundation is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to supporting the advancement of medical and public health education and research at the University of Minnesota. The Foundation's primary function is to attract philanthropic support to assist the world-renowned programs of the University of Minnesota's Medical Schools (Twin Cities and Duluth) and the School of Public Health.

In fiscal year 2006 alone, the Minnesota Medical Foundation earned contributions totaling nearly $115 million for the Medical School and School of Public Health.  These gifts will be used to support breakthrough research, educate tomorrow’s health care professionals, outfit laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and enhance the leadership position of the University in the scientific revolution of the 21st century.  The Minnesota Medical Foundation is currently developing a strategic plan for attaining $100 million anually by 2010.
