Weekly Conferences

Grand Rounds and Core Curriculum Lectures (Ortho Disease, Spine, Sports) are on most Friday mornings beginning at 7:00 am in the Orthopaedic Surgery Main Conference Room on Floor 2 of the Fairview Rehab Building (2512 South Seventh Street, Room 200; on the corner of Seventh Street South and Twenty-fifth Avenue South).

Grand Rounds are certified by the University of Minnesota Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME). OCME is accredited by the ACCME and follows the guidelines and standards that are set by the ACCME for granting credit to regularly scheduled conferences.

  CORE CURRICULUM

Core Curriculum lectures are protected educational time and are one and one-half hour lectures held each Friday morning, following Grand Rounds.   It is based on the subject matter covered in the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE). Attendance by residents is mandatory.
