Center for Lung Science and Health

The Center for Lung Science and Health (CLSH) is an interdisciplinary center affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School under the direct leadership of David Ingbar, M.D. and Marshall Hertz, M.D. from the Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Division in the Department of Medicine. Many of the Center's programs are led by national and internationally recognized experts in the field.

Key programs within the CLSH include:

  • Chronic Lung Disease

  • Acute Respiratory Failure and Critical Care

  • Asthma and Allergy

  • Sleep Medicine

  • Lung Cancer

  • Lung Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

The Center plays an active role in fostering collaboraions and synergies across disciplines and sectors to collectively make a greater impact on lung health and patient care.  Key interactions and partnerships between scientists, clinical experts, healthcare professionals and educators, patients and patient advocates, and non-profit organizations committed to these goals are important for timely and meaningful progress to be made.
