Clinical and Research Interests

My clinical interests involve participating in and facilitating the development of a cross-institutional multidisciplinary sleep program. Sleep medicine experience is now an integral and vital component of the overall training in pulmonary and critical care. As part of the faculty at the University, I am focused on creating learning pathways for fellows and residents to enhance practical experience and provide research opportunities in the field. My current research interests involve measuring the effects of sleep deprivation in medial residents, especially focusing on aspects of measurable working memory capacity. In collaboration with the Intensive Care Unit faculty at Regions Hospital, research projects studying the effects of sleep disorders in critically ill patients are also being actively developed.
