Brief History and Interests
I’m initially from the great metropolis of Tulsa, Oklahoma. While living there, I married a beautiful girl from Minnesota. We traveled west for medical school, followed by a brief stopover back in Oklahoma before landing in Minnesota for a pulmonary fellowship.
My medical interest is in clinical practice. I have published research in the area of sleep medicine in the past. Currently, I’m working on a project at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center looking at Vitamin D and muscle function in COPD patients.
Outside of medicine, my interests are varied. I’m a huge fan of most sports (European soccer and college football are definitely tops on my list). I like to spend as much time outside as possible—playing golf, catching fish and shooting things. I also love to cook when time permits.
