Project:            Completed the coursework for an MPH with a major in epidemiology during my time on this T32.  I completed my master’s thesis on lung function as a predictor of mortality outcomes in the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial participants.  I had the opportunity to work with well-established epidemiologists and biostaticians during my research.

Master’s Thesis:  “Lung Function and Mortality in the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial (MRFIT)” under the mentorship of Dr. John E. Connett.

Field Instruction in Epidemiology:  work in Department of Epidemiology with Drs. Folsom and Shahar on the analysis, interpretation and preparation of manuscript for “Pulmonary Function and Incident Ischemic Stroke: the Atherosclerosis and Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study”
