Stefan E. Pambuccian, M.D.

Associate Professor

Dr. Pambuccian is an Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology and Director of Cytopathology at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.  Dr. Pambucian teaches and lectures to residents and fellows in surgical, autopsy, and cytopathology.  He has a special interest in ENT pathology and the use of digital imaging technology in the practice of pathology.

Dr. Pambuccian has written on topics such as disseminated acanthamoeba infection masquerading as bacillary angiomatosis in a patient with AIDS, B lymphoid monoclonal antibodies reactive with lung tumors- diagnostic applications, amyloidoma of bone (a plasma cell plasmacytoid neoplasm), and salivary duct carcinoma- a specific diagnosis possible by fine needle aspiration cytology.
