- Understand the evaluation and treatment of ductal carcinoma in situ.
- Understand how to process pediatric tumor tissue in the gross room to optmize diagnosis, guide therapy and promote clinical research.
- Understand the principles of HER2 testing in breast cancer and their inter-pretation and clinical implications of HER2 results.
- Identify those lesions that need surgical excision following core needle bi-opsy (ADH, FEA, Fibroepitelial lesions, mucoele-like lesions etc).
- Understand scientific basis of screening mammography and its controversies.
- Describe the different entities of spindle cell lesions of the breast (benign and malignant) including fibromatosis, metaplastic breast carcinoma, phyl-lodes tumor, myofibroblastoma, etc.
- Outline how important scientific developments were discovered and then integrated into the care of breast cancer patients.
- Summarize recent developments in pathologic evaluation and classification of breast biopsies.
