For more than 40 years, the Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC) has provided primary care services to children and low-income families in south Minneapolis.
In fact, the CUHCC clinic became a model for innovative clinical and preventive care when many cities were just learning how to offer comprehensive health care to their citizens in need. In 2008, 65% of patients we cared for were people of color, immigrants or refugees. 40% were non-English speaking.
