Medical School faculty physicians care for patients and oversee the training of residents and students in our primary teaching hospitals -- University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview and University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital -- as well as in hospitals and clinics throughout the state of Minnesota.
Our faculty physicians’ multi-specialty group practice is University of Minnesota Physicians, the second-largest group medical practice in Minnesota.
University of Minnesota Physicians is made up of physicians who are also faculty members at the University of Minnesota Medical School. The Medical School's research facilities and teaching resources — combined with the clinical practice — provide the platform for University of Minnesota Physicians to specialize in innovative care.
Fairview Health Services is one of the largest not-for-profit health care systems in Minnesota, with a continuum of care unparalleled in its breadth. Through an integrated health network, Fairview provides care along a spectrum beginning with prevention and disease management to treatment of the most complex or life-threatening injuries and illness. Fairview is comprised of more than 22,000 employees working in 7 hospitals, 48 primary care clinics, and many specialty clinics throughout the state.
