1968      First HLA matched sibling donor BMT in the world

1982      First BMT (sibling donor) for IMSD (Maroteaux-Lamy)

1989      First Unrelated Donor BMT for IMSD (Hurler syndrome)

1994      First Umbilical Cord Blood HCT for IMSD (Krabbe Disease)

1999      First use of mesenchymal stem cells in IMSD BMT (MLD)

2000      First non-myelobablative BMT for IMSD

2001      200th BMT performed for IMSDs

2002      First use of peripheral blood stem cells in IMSD BMT (Hurler syndrome)

2004     300th BMT performed for IMSDs
