 Center for Global Pediatrics The mission of the Minnesota Center for Global Pediatrics is to improve the health of children globally. We propose to accomplish this mission through translational research, medical education and clinical service work. International Adoption Clinic The first clinic in the United States providing for the health needs of internationally adopted children through its clinic services, research, and education. The Minnesota Cystic Fibrosis Center The Minnesota Cystic Fibrosis Center is dedicated to providing the best possible care and support for patients and their families. Using a preventive model of care, our patients have achieved a higher level of wellness as evidenced by our superb outcomes. Center for Infectious Diseases & Microbiology Translational Research The Center for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Translational Research (CIDMTR) promotes interdisciplinary interactions among highly accomplished teams of investigators with expertise in Infectious Diseases/Microbiology, Immunology, Neuroscience, and Genomics. Research is aimed at developing new treatments and strategies for prevention of infectious that are responsible for major suffering and death worldwide (e.g., HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, congenital viral infections, encephalitis, and typhoid fever). Gene Therapy Center Developmental Biology Center The Developmental Biology Center seeks to discover fundamental molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying development of animals and plants and to understand the links between these processes and human health. To achieve these goals, the DBC promotes interaction and training of researchers taking diverse approaches to the study of development in a rigorous and highly engaged intellectual environment.
