Nutritutional Status

Nutritional status is tightly associated with preservation of lung health and ultimately with life expectancy in CF. Thus it is extremely important to keep the patient's nutritional status at the best level possible. It is also very important to identify those patients in nutritional failure so that appropriate intervention can be instituted and their status optimized.

A low proportion of children in nutritional failure reflects good success in addressing the nutritional needs of these children.
