The Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutics Development Network (CF-TDN) was established
by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a network of highly specialized centers
of excellence in clinical research. The network includes core laboratories,
interpretation centers, and a coordinating center. This highly collaborative
network works to develop and conduct early phase clinical trials involving new
therapeutic agents for cystic fibrosis. Investigators at the CF-TDN sites are
widely considered to be leaders in the field of CF research.

The Minnesota CF Center has been a member of the TDN as a research center since
2002. As such, the center has established a clinical research core exclusively
dedicated to CF patients and with research programs and trained staff capable
of conducting all phases of clinical trials. In addition, our program is capable
of participating in complex studies involving inpatient stays, and performing
specialized procedures required in the conduct of sophisticated early drug studies.
