John T. MacDonald, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Pediatric Neurology section of the Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience Division.

Dr. MacDonald has been practicing at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology located in Golden Valley , Minnesota since 1977. Besides seeing patients at clinic, he has also been involved with medical education at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota for the last 18 years. Dr. MacDonald has a wealth of experience in various professional activities, including being part of the Executive Council at Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota for two years, Editor-in-Chief of Topics in Pediatrics for over twenty years, and an expert witness in the Vaccine Injury Program in the Department of Justice for almost fifteen years.

He completed his MD degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After medical school, Dr. MacDonald began pediatric internship and residency at Mott Children's Hospital through the University of Michigan. His residency in child neurology was completed at the University of Miami Medical Center.

Dr. MacDonald is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with a special competence in Child Neurology. His professional interests include epilepsy, migraines, Tourette's, ADHD, and developmental delays.
