Marissa Hendrickson, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and a staff physician at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital. Dr. Hendrickson recieved her M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland.
Dr. Hendrickson joined the Division of PEM in September 2008. Originally from Minneapolis, she graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College with a double major in chemistry and Japanese studies. After college, she remained in the Boston area for several years, working first in management consulting, then with a research group at the Harvard School of Public Health studying race and gender effects on access to health care. After her residency, Dr. Hendrickson worked for one year as a clinical instructor in the Pediatric ED at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and then went on to complete her fellowship in PEM. Her research interests include food insecurity, measurement and improvement of healthcare quality, and physician professionalism. Selected PublicationsHendrickson MA.
