Brandon Nathan, M.D. joined the Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Pediatrics August 1, 2006. Dr. Nathan attended Dartmouth Medical School and did his Pediatric Residency at the University of Wisconsin where he was also Chief Resident. He completed his Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland June 2006.

Dr. Nathan specializes in clinical care, clinical trials and education for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. He spends the majority of his clinical time at our southern site in Burnsville (University of Minnesota Children's Hospital South at Fairview Ridges).  He is a co-investigator for several arms of the TrialNet Diabetes Prevention Study.  Dr. Nathan also has clinical research interests in the effects of obesity on the regulation of pubertal timing.  Dr. Nathan is organizing a Pediatric Diabetes registry for the Fairview system which will enable standards of care and education to be established for the Pediatric Diabetes Program and will provide patients the opportunity to participate in cutting edge clinical trials.
