Lynda Polgreen joined the Department of Pediatrics in August 2008 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology.  Dr. Polgreen graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY.  She did her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the University of Minnesota, where she also completed her fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology in July 2008.

Dr. Polgreen provides clinical care in general pediatric endocrinology, specializing in childhood bone diseases.  He research interest is in clinical trials of treatments for pediatric metabolic bone disease.  She is the principal investigator on a clinical trial of growth hormone treatment in children with Mucopolysaccharidosis type I, II, and VI.  This trial is evaluating the impact of growth hormone on growth, bone health, neuropsychological functioning, and quality of life.  She is also actively involved in research on osteoporosis in children after Bone Marrow Transplantation.  She is the recipient of the University of Minnesota Pediatrics Foundation Scholar Award as well as a National Institutes of Health Career Advancement Program for Clinical Research Scholar.
