CTLA 4 (Abatacept) New Onset Study


The purpose of this study is to prevent the progression of type 1 diabetes in those with new onset type 1 diabetes. Age is 6-45. Patients are randomly assigned to receive infusions of CTLA 4, (which is used in other autoimmune diseases) or a placebo. There is no cost for study participation.
