Thymoglobulin (ATG) to Preserve Beta Cell Function in New Onset Type 1 Diabetes

The purpose of this study is to prevent the progression of type 1 diabetes in those with new onset type 1 diabetes (less than 12 weeks after diagnosis). Age is 12-35. Patients are randomly assigned to receive infusions of antithymocyte globulin or a placebo. There is no cost for study participation.
