Aaron Kelly received his Ph.D. in Exercise/Applied Physiology from the University of Minnesota in 2004 with a research focus on vascular structure and function in obese children.  He completed his postdoctoral training and served as a Senior Research Scientist at St. Paul Heart Clinic (St. Paul, Minnesota) from 2004 through early 2008 where he specialized in preventive medicine and cardiovascular disease research.  During that time Dr. Kelly continued his pediatric research at the University of Minnesota as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics.  In February 2008, he joined the Department of Pediatrics faculty full-time as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Research.  Dr. Kelly’s main area of research is cardiovascular disease prevention in children with a focus on the identification and treatment of cardiometabolic risk factors.
