IAC Coordinated Care

 Focus:

Dependent upon parent issues/concerns. Appointments are available with specialists in any of: neuropsychology, endocrinology, genetics, infectious diseases, occupational/physical therapy, ophthalmology, audiology and speech/language.

The results of these appointments will be summarized in a meeting with you and the physicians involved in the care of your child.

Appropriate for:

• Any age child, where the
• Family is traveling from more than 1 day's drive or flying in to Minneapolis to come to the IAC

Length of visit/stay:

Depending on the number of specialists your child needs to see, we will attempt to fit the appointments into the shortest number of days possible. It is ideal if you can arrive on a Thursday night and stay through the next Wednesday night.

How to schedule:

Email iac@umn.edu to schedule a pre-visit consult with one of our staff physicians. During this 20-minute consult, the physician will review the areas of strength and areas of concern you have about your child, and help you develop a plan for visits, as well as give directions on how and in what order to schedule these visits. The adoption clinic administrator is available to assist in scheduling the appointments.
