Mary Chesney, R.N., C.P.N.P., M.S.

Mary Chesney

Mary Chesney joined the International Adoption Medicine Program (IAMP) in 1997.  She sees children in clinic, consults with families regarding pre- and post-adoption issues, and reviews medical materials in the pre-adoption evaluation process.

In addition to her role in the IAMP, Mary is the Clinical Director of the Pediatric Specialty Clinic at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview.  Mary is also a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Nursing.  Her research focuses on helping families be fully prepared to parent children adopted from orphanage care and on exploring ways to best support families and their children after adoption.
