For Travelers

The International Adoption Clinic can provide medical consultations while you are traveling to meet your child, either on a blind referral or after you have already received preliminary information.  While in-country you may upload materials to the IAC online submission system. Please make every effort to bring with you technology (laptop, digital camera, digital video recorder, etc.) that will allow you to take photos or video of the child for diagnostic purposes and upload it for us to review. A second, though less ideal, option is to fax medical information to our office, 612-625-2920, and then call us to talk with the reviewer during our regular business hours (8:00-4:30pm Central Standard Time).

We also suggest that you read all of the information available in our Travelers' Packet below.

Please note:  The IAC strives to help traveling families in the adoption process and understands the urgency involved in most situations.  For various reasons (technical incompatibilites, time zone gaps, holiday and weekend breaks), however, it is generally unwise to rely on a single source for a consultation while you are traveling.  As a contingency, we suggest reserving a back-up resource to provide a medical evaluation during your travels.  View a list of other adoption medicine professionals

DENVER PRESCREENING DEVELOPMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE
Denver Prescreening Developmental Questionnaire forms are an additional tool that is useful in gathering medical information on your prospective child.  The questionnaire is not available for download; however, you may request a hard copy, or copies.  Please e-mail or call our business office at 612-624-1164 to request materials, and indicate the child's age: 0-9 mo, 9-24 mo, 2-4 yr, 4-6 yr.
