This is an accredited program with mentored laboratory training opportunities in basic and translational sciences focusing on: malaria pathogenesis; neonatal immunology; congenital viral infections; salmonella infection; pertussis; streptococcal infection. Locations for world-class research laboratories include Department of Microbiology, Center for Immunology, and Center for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Translational Research at UMN. Clinical research also available in strong clinical programs in transplant infectious diseases, neonatology, critical care, global health, international adoption.
