Dr. Andersen is a full-time faculty member of the Department of Pediatrics, Infectious Disease Division, and practices at St. Paul Children's Hospital & Clinic and the University of Minnsota Children's Hospital, Fairview.  He is actively involved in training medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric infectious disease post-doctoral fellows in their clinical year. He has received numerous teaching awards for his teaching expertise. He serves as a vital link for the Pediatric Infectious Disease Division to patient populations useful in conducting clinical research.
