William C. Rosen, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Division of Neonatology. Dr. Rosen earned his M.D. from Albany Medical College, serving his internship and residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He had been Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Dakota when he took a sabbatical to serve a two-year Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He then returned to the University of North Dakota as a clinical professor. Since returning to the University of Minnesota, he was instrumental in implementing the Down Syndrome Clinic and Program, of which he is Medical Director. In addition to attending on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Rosen is the neonatologist most responsible for coverage of the South Metropolitan area (Fairview Southdale and Fairview Ridges). Dr. Rosen sees patients in several clinics, and is Medical Director of the Pediatric Specialty Clinics at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. Dr. Rosen has been published in The Anatomical Record, Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Research (to name a few), in addition to abstracts and book chapters.
