Dr. Sinaiko is an established investigator of blood pressure/hypertension in children and adolescents.  These studies currently are focused on the role of blood pressure as a component of the insulin resistance syndrome and its influence during adolescence on the development of young adult cardiovascular risk. In addition, he has a primary role in design of studies in children testing the efficacy of new drugs for the treatment of hypertension.  He is a faculty member in the department of Pediatrics and Division of Epidemiology, School of Public Health.  Dr. Sinaiko has had continuous research funding from the National Institutes of Health for the past 20 years.
