Dr. Somani joined the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics in 2002 as an instructor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He received his MD from the University of Toronto in 1993. He went on to complete his Pediatric Residency at the University of Minnesota in 1998 and a Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Western Ontario in 2000. Before coming to the University of Minnesota, Dr. Somani worked as an Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine Physician at the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
