This web page includes many community organizations, people, web sites and books to assist you in navigating challenging cultural situations with patients and families. Multicultural Services:

Description: PACER (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights) has the mission to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families. The organization also has a group of multicultural staff who have said they are happy to discuss cultural questions with residents.

Description: Offers services to women experiencing family violence.

Description: Provides multiple social and community building services to the Latino and Chicano community in the areas of health, mental health, education, wellness, crisis intervention, seniors and youth.

  • Wellness Connection

Description: A collaborative project by community service agencies, health care providers and faith communities. This organization can send a Somali health care worker out to visit with a patient, family and provider, in order to assist with navigating cultural challenges.
