Applicant Appreciation

Thank you for your interest in the University of Minnesota Medical School Psychology Internship. Our faculty truly appreciate the effort and expense each applicant expends in the application and interview process here and elsewhere. We regret the stress which can be associated with the application process in general and the financial burdens placed on applicants. We hope that our interactions with you are a positive and worthwhile experience. We wish to help applicants conserve some of their energies, finances, and other resources, and minimize some of the stress in this process by: (a) providing full disclosure of as much information as possible within these materials about the Internship to inform applicants about the experiences offered; (b) using the APPIC Uniform Application; (c) providing e-mail addresses for core faculty; (d) setting our application and interview timetable based on feedback provided by earlier interns; and (e) limiting interviews to those candidates whose backgrounds appear to be most consistent with this Internship. We welcome your feedback during or after the application process about how we might facilitate this process further.

Thank you again for your interest in our program and good luck with this next phase of your professional training. We wish you an excellent internship experience!
