Assistant Professor Pediatric Neuropsychology Phone: (612) 625-7466 or 625-6964 Email: ziegl002@umn.edu Dr. Ziegler is the Section Head for Pediatric Neuropsychology and and Assistant Professor in both the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Neurology. Clinical interests include neuropsychological evaluation and consultation across the pediatric age range. Research interests include neuromuscular and metabolic diseases and brain tumors in children and investigation of the natural history of rare genetic diseases of childhood that result in CNS dysfunction and treatment outcomes of these diseases with bone marrow transplantation. He also has active research programs in childhood and adult neuromuscular disorders and the development of sound cancellation technologies in fMRI. He is coinvestigator for a study assessing hepatic encephalopathy with in vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and principal investigator of a study of neuropsychological functioning in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is supported by the March of Dimes, Vikings Children's Fund and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
