Fellowship Applicants
Eligibility and Application

Eligible candidates must have an MD or DO degree and must have completed a three year General Pediatrics Residency Training Program prior to the start of fellowship training. Applicants must be a citizen or a non-citizen national of the United States or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence at the time of award. Non-citizen nationals are persons, who, although not citizens of the United States, owe permanent allegiance to the U.S. They are generally persons born in outlying possessions of the United States (e.g., American Samoa and Swains Island). Individuals who have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence must be in possession of a currently valid Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-551), or must be in possession of other legal verification of such status. Therefore, fellows who are not a citizen or non-citizen national of the United States would be required to provide their own funding.

For fellowships beginning in July 2012, all applications must be sent to the program coordinator via email or USPS.  First year fellowship positions are offered through the National Residency Matching Program, Pediatric Pulmonology participates in the Pediatric Specialties Spring Match. For fellowships beginning July 2012, applications may be submitted starting December 1, 2011.  All applications must be complete by April 1, 2012. Interviews are required, and will be offered only after an application is complete, including all letters of recommendation.
