Bryce A. Binstadt, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology.  He joined the University of Minnesota faculty in April 2007 from Harvard Medical School, where he served as an attending physician in the Rheumatology Program at Children’s Hospital Boston as well as a research fellow in the Section on Immunology and Immunogenetics at the Joslin Diabetes Center.

Dr. Binstadt received his MD degree from Mayo Medical School and his PhD in Immunology from Mayo Graduate School in Rochester, MN.  He completed his residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center, and then his fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at Children’s Hospital Boston.  He is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology.

At the University of Minnesota, Dr. Binstadt cares for children with arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, and related rheumatologic disorders.  He heads a laboratory focused on understanding how the vascular endothelium contributes to the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders.  In addition, he serves on the Medical & Scientific Committee of the North Central Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
