Principal Investigator
Dr. James Carey's research focuses on promoting recovery of motor function following stroke through up-regulation of function in surviving but dormant neural centers or through transference of function to new neural centers.

MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Bernadette Gillick Bernadette Gillick, MS, PT, PhD Candidate Bernadette Gillick is a pediatric Physical Therapist at Seattle Children's Hospital and a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Minnesota.  Her research interests are in cortical plasticity and recovery from neurologic insult.

MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Jessica Cassidy Jessica Cassidy, DPT Jessica Cassidy is a pediatric physical therapist at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota and a PhD student at the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include neuroplasticity pertaining to the recovery of gross and fine motor function following acquired neurologic injury in adult and pediatric populations.

MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Gillette Kelli Moberg Kelli Moberg, MS, OTR/L Kelli Moberg has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 7 years. She is currently a co-principal investigator on a constraint-induced movement therapy research study focusing on children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy and brachial plexopathy. Kelli has completed the ACQUIREc Therapist Training as well as the Assistive Hand Assessment Training.
MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Gillette Tonya Rich Tonya Rich, MA, OTR/L Tonya Rich has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 9 years. MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Lindsay Draayer Lindsay Anderson, MOTR/L Lindsay Anderson has practiced as an Occupational Therapist in pediatrics and hand therapy for 2 1/2 years. Lindsay has completed the ACQUIREc Therapist Training.
MEDPHYSTHERPEDSHEMI Emily Witzman Emily Witzmann, MS, OTR/L Emily Witzmann has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 1 1/2 years. Emily has completed the ACQUIREc Therapist Training as well as the Assistive Hand Assessment Training.
