Gregory J. Beilman, M.D., is a Professor of Surgery and Anesthesia at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. His research interests include surgical treatments of acute and chronic pancreatitis and resuscitation in shock states. He has actively participated in the development of new technology for patient monitoring (with Hutchinson Technology, Inc) and has performed studies spanning large animal and clinical work. As Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, he has been involved in training students from several disciplines, residents, and fellows in Critical Care.
