Medical students who wish to be considered for the M.D./M.S. Dual Degree must make separate application to the Biomedical Engineering Program. Students who are accepted to this program will receive a scholarship for the Master of Science degree year of training.
The University of Minnesota Medical School is one of 10 schools that offers an M.D./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering or a similar master’s degree. Among the advantages of our program:

The University’s Biomedical Engineering Institute is an interdisciplinary research organization bringing together the collective expertise, imagination, and energy of University of Minnesota faculty from engineering and health sciences with local industry leaders.
