The Department of Emergency Medicine has received a National Institutes of Health(NIH) grant for a five-year project called "Neurological Emergencies Treatment Trials (NETT) Network.  The grant is to develop a network to improve the emergency care of patients with neurological emergencies by executing two clinical trials.  Participating in the project are Twin Cities, Waconia and Willmar hospitals including Hennepin County Medical Center, Regions, North Memorial, Methodist, Abbott Northwestern, Ridgeview Medical Center and Rice Memorial.

Medical Student Research Opportunities:

EMMD 7521: Research in Emergency Medicine

This course provides an introduction to Emergency Medicine Research. Students will initiate or participate in a research project under the direct supervision of Emergency Medicine clinician-researchers. Didactic research conferences will also be available.
