Faculty Development Opportunities
- Single Semester Leaves: Leaves are granted on a first come basis. The deadline for requesting a leave during the 2008-2009 academic year is March 3, 2008. (Single Semester Leave Application) The application, once completed, should be submitted to the Office for Faculty Affairs (MMC 293, C692 Mayo) for Dean’s approval.
- Sabbatical/Sabbatical Supplement Program: Supplement awards are funded on a first come basis. The deadline for requesting a sabbatical and supplement are offered on a first come basis. The deadline for requesting a sabbatical and supplement during the 2008-2009 academic year is March 24, 2008. (Sabbatical Application, Sabbatical Supplement Application) The applications, once completed, should be submitted to the Office for Faculty Affairs (MMC 293, C692 Mayo) for Dean’s approval.

- Women in Surgery Conference: The University of Minnesota is hosting the first annual Women in Surgery event on June 6-7, 2008, immediately following this conference. The seminar provides the opportunity for women at all stages in their professional career to meet, network, attend small group sessions, and hear speakers on professional development.
