The partnership between the Masonic Families and the University of Minnesota has not only endured over the years, but also flourished. In addition to providing funds for building development and expansion, the Masonic Cancer Center Fund (MCCF) supports the important work of Dr. Philip McGlave and the members of his Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation (HOT) Division. In 2007, MCCF made an operating grant of nearly $800,000. “One of Masonry’s basic teachings is the act of charity, coming to the aid of fellow man. To reach the summit in charitable giving is to come closest to what Masonic membership truly means. It’s about opening our hearts and minds, and sharing our good fortune with those whose blessings fall short of our own.” |
